The course provides a foundation from which to develop competence as a technician quantity surveyor. It is designed to provide an education that will develop knowledge and understanding of relevant theories and principles together with technical skills and capabilities associated with the practice of the discipline.
This course is designed as a foundation for learners who have an interested in pursuing a career in quantity surveying or construction. Normally, learners will be aged 18 and above.
Learners who successfully complete this course will be eligible to progress to the UK Awards Level 5 Diploma in Quantity Surveying. They may also be eligible to progress to level 5 studies on other similar courses at colleges and universities. However, it should be noted that transfer of credit on application to other qualifications is determined by the receiving institution/awarding organisation.
