Learning English at UK awards is more than just learning a language. Our curricula have been thoroughly researched and carefully designed towards familiarising learners with ideas and concepts that are pervasive in the international scenario.
Each UK Awards certificate course, which corresponds to different levels of Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) comes with support material that can be accessed by contacting your centre. This support material includes exhaustive word lists, grammar and vocabulary concepts, listening and speaking concepts, sociocultural concepts and practice material. The material for elementary and beginner courses makes use of concepts from everyday life enabling learners to make associations and apply their learnings readily. The material for diploma and advanced diploma courses employs knowledge from a diverse range of subjects, encouraging learners to exchange information and express themselves in English. Each level is an upgrade to learners’ skillsets, posing them for success in their chosen spheres.
Any centre offering its own qualifications in English language as a subject and seeking UK Awards certification must ensure that their teaching-learning material prepare students to meet the proficiency of English at the levels defined in UK Awards curricula. UK Awards would be testing the competence of learners at a given level of award before awarding a certificate.
